📖 Instructions — How to Use NadaMudra 4.1
1 Swara Strip — Now Fully Interactive
The Swara Strip at the top shows all 17 swara variants. Click any pill to select it — it lights up gold and that swara is automatically checked in the Raga Creator (Compose tab). Sa and Pa are always fixed. Click any lit pill again to deselect it. The counter on the right shows how many swaras are active.
2 Swara Sthana Notation in Search Results
When you search for any raga (e.g. "Bhairavi", "Yaman", "Shankarabharana"), the result shows a Swara Sthana Chart at the top — a visual grid of all 17 positions with the raga's notes highlighted in gold (shuddha), purple (komal), or teal (prati/tivra). Below the grid are the Arohana ↑ and Avarohana ↓ in full lyrical notation.
3 Raga Creator — Sthana Notation Output
Select swaras via checkboxes or the strip. Click Generate Raga. The output now shows:
- Arohana and Avarohana in lyrical Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni notation
- A Swara Sthana Chart — every position lit or dim, with full swara name below each cell
- Scale type, suggested Rasa, time of day, and Thaat family
- Exact matches and nearest ragas from the 72 Melakarta + janya database
4 Understanding the Notation Colours
- Gold / bright — Shuddha (natural) swaras: Sa, Ri, Ga₃, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni₃
- Purple — Komal (flat) swaras: Ra, Gi, Ga, Da, Ni, Nee
- Teal — Tivra / Prati swaras: Mi (prati Madhyama), Dha₃, Ri₃
- Dim / grey — Swara not present in this raga
